Corn Cockle - Blossom Pearl
A relatively new coloring of a favorite flower, Blossom Pearl Corn Cockle. This cool season cut flower works beautifully in a cottage garden, as it does in a wedding bouquet. If you like blush flowers that seem to float on the breeze, this one is for you.
I love that the blooms open as spirals, like the inside of a shell, and then the seed pods open to a vintage star, when they are Mature.
Minimum of 100 seeds per packet.
Latin: Agrostemma Seed
Sun: Full
Type: Hardy Annual.
Start: indoors: 4-6 weeks before last frost, transplant after all threat of frost has past.
Direct sow when soil is warm enough to work.
Succession plant every 2-3 weeks (till mid summer) for blooms all season.
Height: 36in to 48 in
Plant Spacing: 6-9 in.
Depth: 1/8 in.
Harvest: When 1-2 blooms are open. Immediately dip stems in boiling water for 10 seconds.
Vase life: 5-10 days
All parts of the plant are toxic. Take care around kids and pets!
