Sweet Pea Scarlet Flake

From the first bloom I was absolutely smitten. I used to not like flaked sweet peas, but beauties like Scarlet Flake and Suzy Z keep winning my heart!

This sweet pea is has scarlet flakes (as the name suggests) on a white ground (base color). And typical of white sweet peas, the buds start out a chartreuse green that opens to white, but with the scarlet flake, the white becomes this soft off white mixed with hints of smokey pink.
