Sweet Pea Scent

Sweet Pea scent is rated on a scale from 0-5, 5 being the strongest scent.
If a variety is a 6, it’s off the charts.

Scent is subjective and can be effected by weather, and can change through the day. The strongest scent offered in warm conditions and the weakest in cool and windy conditions.

In generalities, you can expect Grandiflora and Semi-grandiflora (or Modern Grandiflora) to have the strongest fragrance, while it’s also generally noted that Spencer varieties with orange, scarlet, and dark maroon flowers, as well as dwarf varieties have the weakest fragrance.
